Our tour will start from the impressive square located at the foot of the Capitol Hill, The current appearance of the square comes from demolition and reconstruction interventions in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century following the construction of the Vittoriano , colossal monument to Vittorio Emanuele II known as the Altar of the Patria, we will see the ancient insula of the second century AD climb on Capitol religious and political hub for the Romans but Laic pole for the Popes who transformed it thanks to the intervention of Michelangelo. The guide will continue the visit forwarding to the adjoining Piazza San Marco in past times the head office of the Venetian Embassy in Rome and to then reach Corso Street to then finish in front of one of the most beautiful fountains in the world, Trevi Fountain.
